The heavens declare the glory of God

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. – Psalm 19:1-2 NIV

God has revealed His glory in His creation. When we stop and simply observe all that God has created it is incredible. He has spoken all things into existence. The Lord will continually teach us about His kingdom through His creation.

There are some who would look at the beauty of creation and reject the existence of God. But people are without excuse. His beauty and glory surrounds us on a daily basis. The more we draw near and seek Him, the more we simply become consumed by Him. May our whole hearts be given to the Lord. May we desire to simply glorify and honor His name.

Romans 1:20

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.”‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭NASB‬‬

God has left His fingerprints on His creation. The majesty of creation reveals how truly awesome God is. The universe is vast and the galaxies endless. Compared to creation each and everyone of us is nothing but a tiny speck.

But God in His grace and mercy has chosen to save us. He has chosen to give His life so that we may live. When people look at creation they must make a decision whether it is created or not. No one is without excuse. A person either chooses to believe in God or they do not.

As they begin to contemplate the existence of God they are drawn by the Holy Spirit and it is the Holy Spirit that brings people into their lives to share the truth. Every person who comes to faith in Jesus Christ is simply the work and power of the Holy Spirit. Let us pray daily for those who are lost that their eyes and hearts would be open to the truth.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it.And it was so. God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God calledthe dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signsto mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it,according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created mankind in his own image,
    in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of lifein it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.  Genesis 1

When we examine how the Lord created all things we see that first of all that all things were created by His spoken word.  He spoke all things into existence.  Before He spoke there was nothing and after He spoke things were created.  We have been created in Him image and this is a valuable lesson to learn about the power of prayer.  When we go before the Lord in prayer we speak forth things according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  The words we speak carry incredible spiritual power when they align with God’s will and His word.  We have the ability to be used by the Lord to accomplish His purposes in prayer and to see His will carried out and fulfilled upon the earth.

We also see that everything God did had a set order to it.  Creation is a reflection of who God is.  He has placed His fingerprints on everything that He has created.  This is why people are without excuse when they stand before the Lord because when a person is born and looks at the world around them they begin to formulate in their hearts whether or not they believe that someone created all this or it is hear by accident.  It is incredible prideful, arrogant, and foolish to examine the complexity of creation and not come to the conclusion that indeed it had a designer and creator.  People reject the existence of who God is mostly because they don’t want to be accountable for their actions or their lives.  Indeed if God is alive then it means that all people are accountable and will stand before Him some day.

Also in the creation account it states “let us make man in our image”.  This shows that God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit were involved in creation.  Jesus is not created and the Holy Spirit is not just a power or impersonal force.  All there of them are part of the God head and were involved in the creation of all things.  It is through Jesus that all things were created.  Many cults and false religions are based upon the premise and fallacy of the lies of the enemy.  If we are to walk in freedom we must consume God’s word and know God’s word like the back of our hand.  Being a diligent student of God’s word will guard our hearts and minds from the lies and deceptions of the enemy.

The Lord has created all things and very soon the trumpet shall sound and Jesus shall return for His bride.  To prepare our hearts daily for His return the Lord is drawing us to simply seek first His kingdom and His righteousness.  We have the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us into all truth.  Let us hold fast to the faith that we have and focus our hearts and minds upon Jesus Christ alone.

People are without excuse

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Romans 1:20 NIV

The glory of who God is and the argument for His existence is found with in creation.  He has put His fingerprint on everything He has created.  When people look at creation they will either come to two choices.  They will either determine in their heart that it was created by someone greater then themselves or it is without a creator.

The intricacy of life and creation reveals God’s commitment to doing all things in order and being committed to the very smallest of details.  Some will look at creation and argue that in deed God does not exist.  But how can we look at a computer, a house, a school building, a digital program or anything that requires a designer and claim those things require a designer but creation and especially humanity does not.

The argument that God does not exist is simply flawed.  Many will try to use science to determine the existence of God and this is impossible because God is Spirit and it is only by faith in Jesus Christ that people come to know Him.  As we continue to move toward the return of the Lord continue to seek His face and pray forth the harvest.  Pray that hearts will be softened to the gospel and that His will will be accomplished on the earth.

The heavens declare the glory of God

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge.

Psalm 19:1-2 NKJV

The Lord has placed His finger print all over creation.  He has revealed Himself through His creation so that man is without excuse.  When people look at creation and disregard the Lord or say in there heart that there is no God, their hearts are given over to the darkness and deception of the enemy.

Every wicked thing that takes place upon the earth is simply the result of a person rejecting the light and truth of who God is.  When a person rejects the truth of who God is they are simply left with the darkness of the enemy.  The thing about sin is that when we open our hearts to sin and continue to partake, it hardens our heart over time.  Our Father in Heaven knows every heart that will turn to Him and every heart that will choose to reject Him.

Let us simply be the sons and daughters the Lord has called us to be.  When we have the opportunity let us plant seeds of truth in the hearts of those around us.  Some will receive and some will reject but our role on this earth is to plant seeds and simply water them through prayer.  There is a mighty harvest before us and the harvest field is ripe for harvest.  Let us each day seek the face of the Lord and simply ask Him to lead and guide us in all things.

We must be a people of love

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;

1 Peter 3:8 NKJV

When the focus of our lives and all that we do becomes the love of Christ we will fulfill the plans and purposes our Father in Heaven has for us.  For too long the people of God have been divided because we have based our lives on the traditions and wisdom of man.  The truth is that when you really examine the gospels and the word of God as a whole you see that the foundation is love.  When we are a people who are solely driven by the love of Christ we will be free of offense and our only desires will be to see the Kingdom of our God advanced.  For too long there have been those who have used the name of Jesus to build their own kingdoms on the earth.  This has left a string of victims and broken people in the process. But in these last days the Lord is restoring all that the enemy has stolen.  He is using everything the enemy has meant for wickedness for the goodness of His people and the glory of His kingdom.  God is the ultimate chess player and everything that happens upon the earth happens in the framework of His sovereign will.  Many times people will ask why God allows tragedy to take place.  But the truth is that He has given us freewill and because of this humans are responsible for the choices they make.  But within all of this the Lord is ordering every step and is preparing the earth for the rule and reign of His Son.

Before Jesus comes to establish His kingdom there will be a great tribulation that will take place on the earth.  We see the birth pangs of this as we see many pieces that are being put in place now with the rise of the Islamic State and the nation of Russia.  There will come a time when Russia and the Islamic nations will rise against the nation of Israel and this will prepare the way for the Anti-Christ to sign a peace accord with the nation of Israel, they believing him to be the messiah.  But they will come to see when he sets up the abomination of desolation in the temple that he is indeed not the messiah.  But we have nothing to fear in these times.  They have been ordered from the foundation of time.

We must always remember that the Lord is the creator of all things and this includes time.  Before He created the angels and before He created anything, He was.  He is eternal and He stands outside of time.  We who live in this world and in the natural realm live within time.  Many times this is why it seems the Lord takes forever to move, when in fact His timing is perfect every time.  Everything that is happening now has been ordained and we are simply called to seek Him and make our focus Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith.

When we focus on Jesus we see that He is indeed the definition of love.  It is said in God’s word that true love is one who would lay down His life for His friends.  He demonstrated true love at Calvary when He allowed His body to be beaten beyond recognition and to be crucified upon a cross for all the world to see.  So many times we allow things that have no eternal value to capture the focus of our lives.  If we would simply make Christ the focus and seek first His kingdom we would walk in the freedom He has destined us for.

The heavens declare His glory

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. Psalm 19:1-2 NIV

The Lord has placed His finger prints on all that He has created.  He has revealed His glory in all that He has created.  Man is without excuse because when a person looks at creation they have a choice to make.  They can either decide to believe that indeed there is a creator or this happened by accident.  If they decide that indeed there is a creator, they have opened their heart unto the Lord.  The Holy Spirit will begin to draw them and place things within their lives that will open their eyes unto the truth.

But if the person looks at creation and makes the decision that indeed there is not a creator, they have closed their hearts unto God and the only thing they are left with is darkness.  When a person chooses darkness over the light of God’s truth, that darkness takes residence in their lives and their hearts are separated from the Lord.  Every person who stands before the Lord will give an account of their lives.  Those who have chosen to open their hearts and receive Jesus Christ will spend all eternity in His kingdom.  Those who would reject Him will spend all eternity separated from the Lord in darkness.  It is a sobering thought, but what it all truly comes down to is a question of pride.  For a person to believe in God and to receive Jesus Christ, they must be willing to humble themselves.  Many today refuse to humble their hearts and it is the arrogance and pride within them that blinds them to the truth.

Fearfully and Wonderfully made

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. Psalm 139:13-14 NKJV

All of us who live on this earth are created in the image of God.  He knows everything about us from how many hairs are upon our head to our every thought.  His desire is deep fellowship with us.  He desires that we would seek Him with our whole heart. He pursues us with everything that is within Him.  He will never force His way into our lives, but He will do everything to get our attention.  His desire is that we would simply seek Him daily and develop deep intimacy with Him.  He knows that as we spend time in His presence and in His word that through the power of the Holy Spirit and His grace that we will be transformed.

So many times people often ask the question “why am I here”.  The only way to truly find the answer to this question is to come to know the one who has created you.  Many live their lives on this earth never coming to know the one who created them.  Those who die and never receive Jesus as Lord and Savior will spend an eternity separated from the Lord.  It is a humbling and serious thought when we truly meditate upon the fact that there will be those who will spend an eternity separated from the Living God.  This thought alone should drive us to the place of prayer and pray forth the will of our Father on the earth.  So many today are distracted by the ways of the world and the lies of the enemy.  Let us be a people who are willing to come to know the Lord intimately and grow in deep maturity.

The time before man on earth

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was[a] on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.  Genesis 1:1-2

Many have asked how the earth can only be a little older than 6000 years old according to the biblical record.  Scientist have done studies that shows the earth is much older than that.  So how do we as Christians answer these questions asked by the scientific community.  As I have been in prayer the Lord has placed it on my heart that the earth is much older than the 6000 years that many have thought from the biblical account.

If we look at the bible and the reason it has been given unto the human race, it has been given to reveal the person and nature of who God is.  It is a love letter unto the human race in which the Lord has written how much He loves us.  He loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son unto this earth to die for our sins.  That any man or woman who would receive Jesus as Lord and Savior would be set free from the curse of sin and death.

But the question still remains about dinosaurs and the age of the earth.  What I am about the share with you is my own personal theory as I have studied scripture.  The bible does not mention dinosaurs so I am not going to be hard and fast on this stance.  But before man was created and placed on the earth, angels were created.  Everything that God creates He has given a free will.  When the angels were created they were given a free will and they were given assignments to rule and reign over what was on the earth at that time.

When the Lord creates anything He rewards individuals based on their faithfulness with what they were given.  The angels we read about in scripture today were faithful to the assignments they were given and given high position in God’s kingdom.  But one became enamored with himself and thought that he should be worshiped instead of God almighty.

The one I speak of is Lucifer who we know today as Satan.  He became enamored with his beauty and his position and in his mind he determined that he should be the one to be worshiped and not the Lord.  His fall can be found in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28.  In both account it was Lucifer’s pride and arrogance that led to his fall.  It was not only he who fell, but a third of the angels followed after him and rebelled against the Lord.

With a simple word they were cast out and today we know them as the demonic spirits that are bent to kill, steal, and destroy the human race.  You may still be asking what dinosaurs have to do with this.  I believe like others that the dinosaurs were ruled by the angels on earth.  The angels were given stewardship based on the gifts and callings God had given them.  In the end the fall of Satan led to the death of the dinosaurs.  When God created man there was no longer any place for the dinosaurs.  Because of their size, speed, and power, they would have destroyed the human race.  The reason dinosaurs are not mentioned in scripture is because only those things are placed in scripture which will transform our hearts and minds and lead us into a deeper walk with Christ.

Now many may become upset because I have taken some liberties with things written in the word.  But like I said before this is personal theory that I have developed from studying God’s word and examining the nature of who God is.  It is not important for us to understand when the dinosaurs existed or the history of the angelic race, but sometimes it is fun to reflect on the depth of scripture.

Our focus should always be Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  Our hearts and minds should be focused on the finished work of Christ and the freedom we have.  Too many times we focus and spend time thinking about everything else than we we should be focusing on.  May our hearts be set on the Lord and His kingdom and not this world.  God bless you.
