The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.
Habakkuk 3:19 NIV
The sovereign Lord is my strength. The Lord is the strength of our lives. He is the one who holds all things together by His mighty power. He holds our very breath and moment in His hands. So many times we allow our hearts to get focused on circumstances that are nothing compared to the God that we serve. The Lord desires that we would cry out to Him and ask Him to move according to His will.
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to tread on the heights. It is the Lord who enables us to do the impossible. In a world filled with darkness, wickedness, and deception, it can seem that things are in chaos and out of control. It can seem that it is impossible for the advancement of God’s kingdom. But these are simple deceptions of the enemy. The Lord desires that we would come to know His word and His heart. That our prayers would be shaped by His character and His love. Because we know with Him that nothing is impossible.
The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments.
Habakkuk 3:19 NKJV
The Lord is my strength. In every battle we face in life our strength and our victory is found in Christ alone. There is a growth process that takes place in the life of every believer. We begin our journey with the Lord trying to overcome temptation and trials through our own strength and in the end we fall flat on our faces.
It is a process of being humble in which we finally let go of our own pride and rely fully upon the Lord alone. There is no one greater or nothing greater than the God we serve. Jesus has overcome the grave through the cross and has given us the ultimate victory.
The Lord is calling us today to simply draw near to Him. To walk with Him throughout the entire day. To share every moment with Him and in the process being transformed into the character and nature of who He is. He has so designed our lives that He allows struggles and trials to come. He allows us to battle through temptations to learn to rely fully upon Him and to let go of our own strength.
As we continue to move toward His return each day let us abide in Him and draw near. Let us become a people of His presence in which our own lives become a house of prayer. As we seek Him and make Him the priority, our lives will become filled with His peace and His presence. We will become vessels of His glory and His majesty.
