5 As you do not know what is the way of the wind,
Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child,
So you do not know the works of God who makes everything.
6 In the morning sow your seed,
And in the evening do not withhold your hand;
For you do not know which will prosper,
Either this or that,
Or whether both alike will be good. Ecclesiastes 11:5-6
There are things about God’s plan and His ways that remain a mystery. When we look at circumstances and things we are facing often times we will look at things through our understanding or rationale. But we must remember that God and His ways are above our ways. He has called us to trust Him and walk by faith. As we draw near to the Lord each day and study His word we are encouraged and strengthened. God’s word is filled with promises and we know He who has begun a good work within us will be faithful to complete it. Our journey with Christ is simply about growing in faith and trusting the Lord. Our eyes must remained fixed upon the Lord in every circumstance.
Just as you do not know the way and path of the wind or how the bones are formed in the womb of a pregnant woman, even so you do not know the activity of God who makes all things.
Ecclesiastes 11:5 AMP
God’s ways are higher than our ways. There are things that God is doing in the spiritual realm that we cannot see. We are called to walk by faith and not by sight. We are called to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and to pray according to the Father’s will in the name of Jesus.
Trusting God sometimes can be difficult because as human beings we naturally want to trust what we see with our eyes. But often times when God is doing a deep work in our lives there are doors that He shuts and simply does not give us an answer why. He simply tells us to be still and know that He is God.
He is fully in control of our every circumstance. No matter how dire a circumstance looks we can know that if we bring it before our Father in prayer that He will work all things together for our good. The Christian journey is not an easy or comfortable journey. It requires discipline on our part to abide in Him and seek the Lord daily in prayer and the study of His word.
We need to let go of our emotions and our feelings. We need to let go of living our lives based on what we see with our eyes. In every circumstance God is in control and will restore all that has been stolen from us. The enemy often will try to overwhelm us with doubt and discouragement. But when we come to understand that every voice of doubt, discouragement, worry, and fear and simply lying and deceptive voices, we will stand fast upon the faith we have in Christ Jesus and keep our eyes fixed upon the Lord.
