God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
We are called to worship God in the Spirit and in truth. The question is “how does this happen or how is it possible”. When we come to Christ we receive the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who lives within us and it is not until we are born again that we can draw near to the Lord and truly worship Him.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the only way to the Father. If someone truly desires a relationship with God it can only be found through Jesus Christ alone. It is only the blood of Jesus that can atone for our sins. When someone who is not a follower of Christ tries to draw near to God it is impossible because their sin still remains. But for those who follow Jesus Christ they are able to draw near and enter into the Lord’s presence because their sin has been atoned for.
So many miss out on all they have with Christ because they fail to enter into worship. Many times when you visit a church you will find people simply standing still and not entering into worship. But when we truly understand all that Christ accomplished at Calvary all we desire to do is enter in and draw near. If we will draw near to Him, He will draw near to us. But we must take a step to enter in. Many become distracted by those around them and worry about what they will think if they truly enter in. But when we simply close our eyes and focus only on the Lord it is incredible how different our experience is worshiping the Lord.
