Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
We are called to offer our bodies as living sacrifices unto the Lord. This simply means the way we live our lives is an act of worship. Every decision we make must be made by the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Lord is continually shaping and molding our lives. Sometimes He will lead us to some very difficult places to teach us to trust Him even more. But our lives no longer belong to us and we are called to be holy because He is holy.
The fruit of the Holy Spirit is simply produced in our lives as we grow in our relationship with Christ. As we read and study God’s word on a daily basis, it is the power of the Holy Spirit that transforms our lives. To claim to follow Christ yet live for the world and chase after the desires of the world is not biblical. Holiness is simply the result of walking closely with Jesus daily.
