For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.
The enemy will do all that he can to twist and compromise the word of God through false teachers. When people sit in churches and under teaching that is false they are placed in greater bondage then they were in the beginning. They believe they are serving Jesus but continue to remain in slavery and bondage.
We must be wise where we commit our time and gifts when it comes to choosing a church. Don’t simply choose a church because it seems exciting or because you may like the people. But examine the doctrine that is taught and preached. Examine all things against God’s word and invest yourself in a ministry where the purity of the word is preached.
When God’s word is truly preached and taught in its purity under the anointing of the Holy Spirit the lives and hearts of people are changed. Transformation only comes as we study the pure word of God. Understand that many false teachers fill the earth today. They are driven for the desire for wealth and to fulfill the lust of the flesh. May we be like the Berean believer who examined everything Paul preached against the truth of God’s word.
