Ephesians 4:29

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Ephesians 4:29

Our words should bring life to those who hear them. If we claim to follow Christ then every thing we do should reflect who Jesus is. Jesus never used foul or abusive language, in everything Jesus did He revealed the nature of who the Father is.

You can tell a lot about someone from the way they talk. What is in the depths of a person’s heart often is revealed in their daily conversation. The more intimately we walk with Jesus the more our conversation will align with God’s word and reflect His heart. We must remember that life and death lies in the power of the tongue.
