“The person who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him [I will make Myself real to him].””
JOHN 14:21 AMP
Claiming to love Jesus and follow Him but not walking in obedience to God’s word is not biblical Christianity. There are some today who claim the title Christian but fail to have a relationship with Jesus. If we are truly walking with Christ daily it will transform our lives. If transformation has failed to take place we need to reevaluate where we stand.
The fruit of the Spirit is an outward sign of authentic Christianity. If we claim to walk with Christ then we must reject the lust of the flesh. We will be tempted on a daily basis. But developing deep intimacy with Christ will guard our hearts against the temptations of this world.
