Matthew 28:18-20: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV

Jesus has commanded us and commissioned us to make disciples of all nations.  Not merely to make converts, but to make disciples.  The making of a disciple requires much care, patience, and time.  When making disciples, people will make a lot of mistakes, but we must use the mistakes that are made to teach them and help them continue to grow.

We are called to go into all the world to every nation.  The gospel is open to all people and the call is very simple.  Simply come and believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.  The gospel is going forth daily and with technology more than ever people are being reached on a daily basis.  But one of the most important things when it come to advancing the gospel and God’s kingdom is prayer.

Prayer softens the hearts of people to receive the gospel and bulldozes the ground before it to remove every barrier and hindrance.  The Lord has called us to be a house of prayer for all nations.  God’s desire is that none should perish, but all come to everlasting life.  The more we walk with God and the more we draw near to Him, the more our hearts and minds become one with His.

We see those who are lost and broken as the Lord sees them.  People all over this world today desire to be loved and they are seeking the love of God and don’t even know it.  May we who are believers and followers of Jesus Christ simply share the good news of Jesus Christ as we have opportunity.  The King is returning very soon.
