Revelation 1:3

“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There is a true blessing to studying and understanding the book of Revelation. It will strengthen our faith and give us a greater understanding of who the Lord is. It will enable us to live in peace during our time on this earth because we understand God holds all things in His hands and He is bringing all things to pass according to His will.

There is also great blessing in obedience. Grace does not gives us a license to live in habitual sin. We are called to obedience and the word of God is the lamp unto our feet. It is the Holy Spirit who leads and guides us into all things. If we are following the leading of the Holy Spirit we have nothing to fear.

All those who are drawing near and abiding daily in Him are being prepared as a bride for her wedding day. The Lord is returning to take her bride from the earth before His wrath and judgement is poured out on the earth. You may be wondering who the bride is. The bride are those who love the Lord with their whole heart and seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. Our love for the Lord is revealed each day in the way we live our lives. If our heart is fully committed unto Him then the fruit of the Holy Spirit will be present in our lives.

The time is short compared with the time man has been on the earth. Each day we move closer to the Lord's return and He shall return as a thief in the night. Let us diligently prepare, drawing near each day and spending time in His presence. May His presence become our hiding place. May we forsake every idol and every hindrance and seek Him fully with our whole heart.
