Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. When we walk by faith we do not determine the course of our lives based on what we see with our physical eyes. We are people who are driven by our five senses and sight is a very important sense because it opens the world to us. But the problem is that when we walk by our physical sight our eyes are focused upon our circumstances.
The God we serve is greater than any circumstance we will face. The enemy will try to overwhelm us with discouragement by getting us to focus only on our circumstances. But when our eyes are fixed upon the Lord and His promises for us we understand that in every and all circumstances that the Lord can use it for our good and for His glory.
His desire is to take us from glory to glory. He desires to take us from a place of immaturity to a place of deep maturity in which the roots of our faith go deep like a mighty oak tree. We will not be shaken and we will not be moved because we are rooted and ground in Christ Jesus. But we need to understand that this journey we are on is a journey of walking by faith. The Lord will always lead us to freedom and victory, the key is simply following Him. God in His due time will accomplish His plans and His purposes.
