But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
We are to come to the Lord as a child. The disciples tried to keep the children from coming to Jesus, but the Lord rebuked them for it. Our faith should be childlike in which we believe all things are possible with God. Too many times as adults we allow doubt and unbelief to keep us from walking in deep and abiding faith. When our faith is fully in the Lord we shall see His glory poured out in our lives.
God’s love for children is far greater than we even understand and when the Lord looks at us He sees us as His sons and His daughters. He understands that we will make mistakes and His desire is for us to learn from our mistakes. We too many times are far more difficult on ourselves than the Lord is. Often we allow mistakes and short comings to paralyze us. In our humanity we will make mistakes, but the Lord’s desire is that we would learn from them and continue to mature in our relationship with Him.
