In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:6-9
For those of us we have not seen Jesus unless we have encountered Him in a dream or a vision. On this earth as we walk with the Lord we will face trials. But there is a greater purpose behind each trial we face.
They not only refine our faith, they test the genuineness of our faith. The difficult days that we find ourselves is separating the true bride of Christ. Those who would love the world and its ways are not part of the bride of Christ.
But the end of our faith is the salvation of our souls. We need to endure each day and this only takes place in the strength and power of the Lord. As we abide each day in Him, He will lead and guide us. If we try to walk this journey in our own strength we will fail miserably. Let us abide in Him and no matter what we face we will overcome.
