“But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”Philippians 4:10-13 NKJV
The apostle Paul understood the key to the Christian life and that is every victory is found in Christ alone. In this life we will have trials, challenges, suffering, and hard times. But through it all the Lord is refining and testing the genuineness of our faith.
But in the midst of every trial we must draw near to the Lord. In drawing near He will strengthen us for all things. There is nothing we shall face that is greater than the grace of God. His grace is sufficient. May we hold fast and take one step at a time. Remove your eyes from the trial and fix your eyes solely upon Jesus the author and perfector of our faith.
