John 1:14

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 1:14

Jesus came to this earth and became fully man.  He became flesh and blood to become the perfect sacrifice for our sins.  In Christ we have forgiveness and redemption.  Through faith in Christ we have peace with God Almighty.  When our faith is in Christ the righteousness of who Jesus is is placed upon us.  The Father sees the perfection and righteousness of Christ within us.

When we come to Christ we are no longer a prisoner of our past and we are no longer a prisoner of Satan.  Every person born on this earth is born into sin and therefore is in bondage to Satan and his schemes.  But until we come to Christ and our eyes are open to the truth we believe we are free indulging and chasing after the lust of the sinful nature.

Satan is the ultimate deceiver.  He is called the father of lies for a reason.  Every word that proceeds from his mouth is a lie and his heart and his nature is filled with utter wickedness and darkness.  We need to diligently study God’s word on a daily basis to recognize and discern the lies of the enemy.  The only way to recognize a lie is to have truth as a standard and God’s word is truth.

Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.  He is the resurrection and the life.  All that we need is found in Jesus Christ.  May our hearts and our minds be fixed upon Christ alone and His grace that covers us.  We don’t deserve the love, grace, and mercy of God but our Father in Heaven lavishes it upon us.  We are free and righteous today because of who Jesus is and what He has done.
