John 10:27-30

27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[c]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”  John 10:27-30

There is no one who can snatch us out of the Father’s hand.  When we have given our hearts unto Christ there is no one who can take our salvation from us.  We are held close to the Lord by His grace and His mercy.  We are sealed by the Holy Spirit.  When we are born again our names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.  We are drawn by the power of the Holy Spirit and it is the Holy Spirit who opens our eyes unto our need of a savior.  We are simply saved by the grace of God.

The sheep who know the Lord’s voice are simply those who have given their hearts to Christ.  The only way that we can have a personal relationship with God is through faith in Jesus Christ.  There are many who reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and they will be eternally separated from God in Hell unless they repent of their wicked ways and make Jesus Lord and Savior.

But as believers in Christ we must abide in Him and guard our hearts from sin and the lust of this world.  If we walk by the Holy Spirit we will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.  The danger in indulging in sin is that it hardens our hearts and if left unchecked will lead to destruction.  The truth is that our sins will find us out and there have been many who thought what they did in the dark was hidden, but in due time it was brought into the light.  Let us draw near and abide in Him.  Let us continue to grow in our relationship with Christ and understand that His return is very soon.
