Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There is a maturation process that takes place in our relationship with Jesus Christ. As we grow in the Lord on a daily basis the character of Christ is established and grown within us. Growing in Christ is a supernatural process and it is the result of spending time daily in God’s word and in prayer. As we become part of a local church, begin to serve and fellowship with other believers we will grow into who God has called us to be.
God has never called us to grow in isolation. When we come to Christ we are adopted into God’s family and are called to be a thriving member in a local church. Finding a local church happens through the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit. God has a perfect place for each believer based on the calling and anointing God has placed upon a person. Let us draw near and continue to grow each day in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
