I am the Alpha and the Omega

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,”[c]says the Lord,[d] “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”  Revelation 1:8

Jesus is the beginning and the end.  There is none that come before Him and all shall bow their knee before Him.  Sometimes I think some take Jesus for granted.  They fail to understand the depths of God’s grace and His mercy. But everyone of us who has come to Christ are simply in relationship with God because of His grace and His mercy.

We have done nothing to earn His love or His salvation.  He has chosen us before the foundations of the world.  As we walk with Him each day He draws us deeper into a intimate relationship with Him.  We must remove anything that would hinder us in our relationship and pursuit of the Lord.  There are things in this world that desire to destroy us and though they may seem appealing to our sinful nature, we must draw near to the Lord and not allow them a foothold in our life.

Sometimes life can seem overwhelming and the things we face can seem like they will crush us.  But the one we serve is above all.  He is greater than anything we will ever face and has overcome the grave.  We simply need to keep our eyes focused upon Him and know that no matter what we face or where we find ourselves, He will lead and guide us one step at a time to victory.
