10 You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown for the righteous,
And gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. Psalm 97:10-12
We live in very wicked times. If Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior then we are to have nothing to do with the deeds of darkness. No matter our past we are called to be transformed into the image of our Savior. This is a journey that takes a lifetime, but transformation should be taking place. If we claim to be in Christ, but transformation is not taking place then we need to ask ourselves why.
We are transformed as our minds are renewed by God’s word. One of the greatest reasons that some Christians fail to have transformation taking place in their lives is simply because they are not spending time in God’s word. Jesus has called us to abide and this calls for us to walk in deep fellowship with the Lord. Fellowship only takes place as we spend time in prayer and God’s word.
We must embrace all that God us for us. We must embrace the baptism of the Holy Spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us on a daily basis. When we are baptized in the Holy Spirit we are immersed in the Holy Spirit and when this takes place our eyes are open to the depths of God’s word. His word is living and active and if we are simply studying God’s word from a academic perspective then we are simply robbing ourselves of all that God has for us.
He will always provide every need and will go before us and prepare every step. We need not fear in the times that we live because the Lord has created us for this and has equipped us for all things. His return is very soon and He is preparing and refining a bride for His glory. May we simply be living sacrifices for His kingdom.
