Think continually on these things, Philippians 4:8-9

Finally, [b]believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you.  Philippians 4:8-9

What we meditate on and where we fix our thoughts has a huge role in the way we live our lives.  If our minds are focused upon God and His word our lives will be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Our minds are the control center where all decisions are made.  The decisions we make in our lives are like roads we take on a daily basis.  When our decisions are based on God’s word and the leading of the Holy Spirit we will naturally walk in the plans and purposes that God has for us.

We live in a world today because of social media, technology, and entertainment in which we are bombarded on a daily basis by the lies and deceptions of the enemy.  Those who fail to daily spend time in God’s word and fail to meditate upon the truth of God’s word will be deceived.  The greatest defense we have against the enemy and his deceptions is to abide in the Lord daily.

Our lives are transformed as our minds are transformed.  When we place our faith in Christ our spirits are reborn and we once again can draw near to the Lord.  But our minds are transformed over a lifetime as we spend time reading, studying, and meditating upon God’s word.  Let us not waste another day, but let us draw near with our whole heart and abide in Him.
