15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do,whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:15-17
The peace of God is tangible. It is something that can be felt and can be experienced. When we abide in Him and abide in His word, our hearts and minds will be fixed upon the Lord. The key to the Christian walk is remaining and abiding in the Lord. We are simply transformed by the Holy Spirit as our minds are transformed by the word of God. When we come to Christ our spirits are reborn but our minds still need to be renewed. When we first come to Christ we will deal with the strongholds and bondages that the enemy used to imprison us. But it is only as we spend time in God’s word and meditate upon His word that our minds are renewed and our lives are transformed. If we are walking in true authentic Christianity then transformation will take place in our lives. We will no longer reflect the old man, we will reflect the beauty and character of our savior.
