Let us come boldly

“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:14-16‬ ‭NKJV‬

Jesus has faced every temptation we will face. He has walked in our shoes and therefore is filled with compassion, grace, and mercy for us. The Lord has called us to draw near with boldness. Our sins have been nailed to the cross. This includes our past, present, and future sins.

Our righteousness before the Lord is not conditional based upon behavior. Our righteousness before God is a gift and is based upon our faith in Jesus Christ. Throughout this journey we are being continually sanctified along the way. We must simply draw near to the Lord and spend time daily in His presence.

The enemy will do all that he can to keep us from spending time in the Lord’s presence. It is in His presence that we are strengthened and equipped for the journey ahead. His presence is essential for our journey with the Lord and walking in victory. Let us fix our hearts solely upon Jesus and prepare our hearts for His soon return.
