Blessed is the man

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.Psalm 1:1-2 NKJV

When we meditate upon the word of God and His promises for our lives our lives will be blessed by the Lord.  As we meditate upon the word of God our minds are transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.  The truth of God’s word breaks the lies and strongholds of the enemy and our hearts and minds align with the Lord.  As our hearts and minds align with the Lord we naturally walk in the authority and freedom we have in Christ.  Walking in victory is simply a result of being a diligent student of God’s word and meditating on His word on a daily basis.

Those who seek the counsel of the ungodly and stand in the path of sinners will live a life that is moving towards destruction.  It is the foolishness of this world and the darkness of this world that leads to destruction.  Those who seek after the ways of the world will believe that those who seek after the way of the Lord is foolish.  What they fail to understand is that they are blinded by the deceptions of Satan and by rejecting the truth and light of who Jesus is that they will spend all eternity separated from almighty God.

As believers today in Jesus Christ let us simply live lives that please the Lord.  Let us live lives that reflect His glory and His love.  This is only possible as we spend time daily in the word and become disciplined disciples of following Jesus Christ.  Those who diligently seek after the Lord will be greatly used by Him.  There hearts and minds will be one with His and they will be entrusted with the great things of God’s kingdom.  Let us simply be a people or prayer and God’s word.
