When we are faced with challenges and trials it is vital that we stay in God’s word and meditate upon His promises and faithfulness for our lives. The enemy will try to overwhelm us with doubt and worry, lying to us and telling us that somehow God has forgotten us. But the truth is that those the Lord loves He thoroughly disciplines. God’s desire is that we would grow into a deep place of maturity and this can only come as our faith is tested, tried, and it is stretched. This can be a very painful experience, but if we abide in the Lord daily through prayer and the study of His word, He will strengthen us for all that we will face. The Lord allows trials and challenges to come into our lives so we learn to fully rely upon Him. We need to let go of our own strength and keep our eyes fixed solely upon Jesus. As we abide He will carry us and lead us to victory.
