Let no one say when he is tempted

“Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one. But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions).”‭‭James‬ ‭1:13-14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Temptation alone comes from the devil and the demonic realm. The purpose of temptation is to draw us away from the purpose and plans of God and is designed to place us in bondage to the flesh. In Christ we are free and have authority over the plans and purposes of the enemy. But the key is to abide in Him. In Jesus is found strength and wisdom. Where we often fail and falter is when we fail to abide in Him.

We are not called to be perfect, but we are called to grow and mature. The process of sanctification happens over the course of a lifetime and as we draw near to the Lord we are transformed from the inside out. Draw near today and abide in Him. He will lead and guide us to victory.
