Come to me

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Lord is calling us to draw near. All of us are born into sin and we are broken. The Lord is calling us to drop our burdens at the foot of the cross. We are not called to live this life in our own strength. We are called to place all things in the hands of Jesus.

The reason many struggle and many fail is they are trying to accomplish things in their own strength. They are not willing to wait upon the Lord for His timing and His will. When the Lord opens a door there is no one who is able to shut that door.

We need to take our eyes off of our circumstances and our challenges. We need to draw near to the Lord and focus our hearts upon Jesus Christ. He is fully in control and has so designed our lives that through every trial and struggle we are called to trust Him more and more. The Christian life is simply about growing in intimacy with Jesus Christ. The more we draw near and the more we trust the Lord, the more intimately we walk with Him.
