Romans 3:7-8: For if the truth of God has increased

7 For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? 8 And why not say, “Let us do evil that good may come”?—as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their condemnation is just. Romans 3:7-8.
There were those during the apostle Paul’s day much like there is today who distort the truth of the gospel and distort the truth of God’s grace. During Paul’s day there were those who claimed that as we do things that are evil and sinful that the glory and the grace of God are poured out. The purpose of the grace of God is not so that we can have a personal license to sin. But the grace of God is God’s favor upon our lives that enables us to achieve the impossible. It is what enables us to accomplish the purposes of His kingdom.
We in ourselves are broken and powerless. But with the Lord’s hand upon us and living within us, there is nothing that is impossible. When God calls someone, He takes His time to prepare them to be a vessel of His glory. If we are to be a vessel of His glory it takes thorough testing because when His glory begins to be poured out it requires incredible humility not to take the glory for ourselves. Those who are used greatly by the Lord go through an incredible time of testing.
