Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
We are called to confess our trespasses one to another. This doesn’t mean just anybody we find we go up to them and pour our heart out to them. We need to confide in those we have develop intimacy with and those we know we can trust. When we are struggling in an area it is good for us to pour our heart out to fellow believers and be transparent with people.
By pouring out our heart they in turn can pray for us. It is through prayer that hearts and lives are not only healed, they are restored and they are transformed. God has not called us to be a lone ranger in our journey with Him. We are all called to be part of the body of Christ and through the body of Christ we have fellow brothers and sisters who walk alongside with us.
This is why agreement and unity is key in the body of Christ. Dissension and contention exist in the body of Christ when we allow pride to have its way. But if we always walk in love and humility we will always walk in unity. We will put the needs of others before our own and we will simply lift one another up in prayer. To see the bride of Christ become all that God has called us to be requires that we pray for one another on a daily basis. Be willing to be a faithful person of prayer and be someone that others can confide in when they are struggling.
