It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”
If our faith and trust is in Jesus Christ then we serve Him who lives forevermore. There is a day coming when the Lord shall return and every knee shall bow before Him. There are many on the earth today who simply profane the name of Jesus. In their arrogance and pride they are blinded to their need of a savior.
But we who are in Christ have a personal relationship with the Living God. We are able to go before the throne of God at any time with confidence because our righteousness is not dependent on our behavior or our works, but our righteousness is based upon the finished work of who Jesus is. Let us draw near daily and simply abide in Him. As we spend time alone with the Lord in His presence we are transformed into His image. As we draw near it is we who decreases and He who increases. This is why the apostle Paul said it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.
