Love bears all things

It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].

1 Corinthians 13: 6-7 AMP

When the bible describes who God is it simply uses the word love.  1 Corinthians chapter 13 is a chapter explaining what love truly is.  When we come to know Jesus in a very deep way we come to know the depths of His love.  It was love that held the Lord to the cross.  He could of at any time called down legions of angels but chose to stay upon the cross.

The focus in our relationship with Jesus Christ must be God’s love, grace, and mercy.  As we focus upon the Lord’s love for us we will draw near unto the Lord and in drawing near we will be transformed into His image.  Everything that Jesus did at Calvary was so that we can draw near to the Father.  It was the sins committed in the Garden of Eden that separated humanity from God.  But it was the cross that made the way available to once again be reunited and restored to the Father.

Today if you find yourself focusing on yourself or your short comings you need to place your focus upon the Lord and His love for you.  Your focus will determine the course of your life and whether or not we are able to walk in victory.  When our focus is upon ourselves or our circumstances we will naturally walk in defeat.  But if our focus is upon the Lord alone we will walk in victory in every area of life because we will understand that nothing is impossible with the Lord.
