2 Corinthians 5:19-20:The word of reconciliation

that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 5:19-20 NKJV

It is through Jesus Christ alone that we are reconciled to God.  It is by faith alone that we are declared righteous and it is only by faith that we are saved and our sins are washed away.  But simply placing our faith and trust in Jesus Christ we are able to draw near to the Father.  The desire of the Father is deep intimacy.  It was deep intimacy that the Lord had in the garden with Adam and Eve and it is deep intimacy that Jesus came.

Intimacy is only built as we draw near to the Lord with all of our heart.  If we hold anything back we will fail to walk in the depths of intimacy that are available to us through Jesus Christ.  Many times because of fear we try to hold things back, but it is simply a deception of the enemy.  It is not until we fully let go and draw near to the Lord with our whole heart that we begin to truly live.
