Grace and Peace

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.  Galatians 1:3-5.

It is through Jesus Christ alone that we have grace and peace.  Jesus was sent to this earth to rescue us from our sins.  It is because of sin that we are separated from God at birth.  Because of the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden every person born to them throughout history is born into sin.

Because of sin we are separated from God and we are enemies of God.  But when we place our faith and trust in Jesus Christ it is the blood of Jesus that washes away every sin.  The curse of sin and death is broken and we are simply set free from the hand of the enemy and the ways of the world.

Let us daily focus our hearts upon Jesus and know that no matter what we face in this life that our Father in Heaven will work all things together for our good.  His desire is that we would grow in maturity and intimacy with Him and at times this will be a painful process.

Let us never take the grace and mercy of God for granted.  Let us not use the grace of God as a license to sin.  God’s grace and salvation were paid at an incredible price and let us use the lives that God has given us to simply glorify the name of Jesus in every area of our lives.
