I will trust and not be afraid

“Behold, God, my salvation!
I will trust and not be afraid,
For the Lord God is my strength and song;
Yes, He has become my salvation.”  Isaiah 12:2 AMP

The Lord is our salvation.  He not only came to give His life to save us, but throughout the course of our lives His hand is upon us and He orders our every step.  We have nothing to fear.  Though we face trials and challenges in this world, we have nothing to fear.  Jesus has overcome the world and all authority and power in Heaven and on earth has been given to Him.

One of the great weapons of the enemy is fear.  He will try to overwhelm us with fear, doubt, and discouragement when we find ourselves in the midst of a storm.  He will do all that He can to try to overwhelm us and take our eyes off the Lord.  But as we grow in maturity with the Lord we come to understand that no matter how big or small the storm we face, that the Lord is fully in control.

He has designed our lives and He allows everything into our lives that will shape and mold us into His image.  When we give our hearts and lives unto Him we become His adopted child.  All that He has is available unto us and His desire is that we would simply draw near.  When we become a person of His presence our hearts and minds will be focused on Him throughout the course of the day.

When I talk about becoming a person of His presence I am talking about desiring to spend time with Him more than the air we breath or life itself.  When He becomes our obsession and only aim then our hearts will naturally be focused upon the Lord.  Know that no matter what you face this day that you are not alone, the Lord goes before and behind you and His grace is sufficient for all things.
