Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice!
Jesus has saved us. We are not saved by our works and we are not saved by anything we have done. We are simply saved by the grace, mercy, and love of God. There is nothing we have done. There is nothing for us to be proud of. Our lives should be lived in humble submission unto the Lord. Our lives should simply be spend worshiping the Lord in all that we do.
We are simply called to be a vessel for His glory. He has given us the gifts and talents we have and we should simply use them to glorify and honor His name. There are many in this world who use the gifts and talents God has given them for their own glory and some day when they stand before the Lord they will give an account of their lives. But we who are in Christ should simply strive to glorify the name of Jesus in all things.
The Lord has called us to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. When we simply seek Him first and make Him the priority of our lives is when we find the abundant life Jesus spoke of. There are many who claim to follow Christ but are still pursuing their own will and are living and are still miserable. It is only when we humble ourselves before the Lord and simply make His will our will that we will walk in perfect peace.
